François Malbranque comes from the Hauts-de-France region. He discovered an interest in dance at a very young age through the practice of Polish folk dance. After studying at the regional conservatory in Lille, he continued his training at the Conservatoire National Supérieur in Paris. In 2021, he obtained his National Higher Professional Diploma in Contemporary Dance as well as a bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts.
He is currently performing mainly with Boris Charmatz, Tatiana Julien, Dimitri Chamblas, and Olga Dukhovnaya.
In 2022, he founded his own association, DÉRIVÉE, to initiate personal choreographic projects and to engage in cultural outreach initiatives in the Hauts-de-France region. In addition, he collaborates on lighting design for various performances.
